Hawksnest is about 8 miles from the house in Seven Devils, and it’s the outing kids tend to ask to repeat. In winter it’s all about snow tubing, with up to 30 lanes between 400 and 1,000 feet long spread across four tubing areas. Snow is made on site when nature doesn’t cooperate.
Sessions last an hour and 45 minutes, and riders need to be 3 or older. Non-riders can watch from the viewing deck or warm up in the lodge for free, and the café serves hot drinks, light food and local craft beer.
The rest of the year, the ziplines take over. There are 20 lines in total: the Hawk Tour for ages 5 and up, and the bigger Eagle Tour for ages 8 and up, with lines over 2,000 feet long and more than 200 feet off the ground. Weight limits apply to both.
Good to know: book online and early. Tubing sessions sell out on weekends and holidays, there are no phone bookings, and arriving late doesn’t get you extra time. The 2026 tubing season is expected to open Thanksgiving weekend, weather permitting.
