You may have found Valle View Retreat on a big booking platform first. It’s the same house either way, with the same views, hot tub and game room. But booking directly through our own website has some real advantages, especially for bigger groups planning a trip together.
Deal with your host from day one
When you book direct, you’re dealing with Jonathan, the person who hosts the house, from the first question to checkout. He’s been an Airbnb Superhost at Valle View Retreat for three years, with a 4.99 rating across 84 stays and a 100% response rate. Have a question about how the bedrooms work for your group, or where to eat? Email Jonathan@Swope.email and you’ll hear back fast.
Skip the platform service fees
Big booking sites usually add their own service fees on top of the nightly rate. Booking on our website means you’re paying the host directly, so you can avoid those platform fees. The booking page shows an estimated comparison so you can see the difference for your dates.
See real availability and pricing
The calendar on our site is live, so you can choose your dates, see the price and book in a few minutes. There’s no back-and-forth to find out if your weekend is free.
Make the most of local knowledge
Booking direct opens up the extras that make a stay easier. Jonathan can share local tips before you arrive, and you can plan add-ons like a private chef through our partner yhangry for a celebration dinner or a lazy brunch.
Come back easily
Once you’ve stayed, booking again is simple. Come straight back to the website, pick your dates and you’re done. Many groups make the High Country an annual trip, whether for ski season, fall color or a summer reunion.
The house itself
Valle View Retreat sleeps 20 on a hill above Valle Crucis, about 7 miles from Banner Elk. It has five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, two living rooms with gas fireplaces, a chef’s kitchen, a game room, an 8-person hot tub and a fire pit, all on one level with no stairs.
